Our robotics team, Revere Robotics 90007A, aka Hyrdrobots, won the Inspire Award at the VEX IQ World tournament in Missouri, where they were one out of 438 middle schools to compete. The Inspire Award recognizes a team that:
- Exhibits passion and positive attitude at the event.
- Exhibits integrity and goodwill towards other teams, coaches, and event staff.
- Overcomes an obstacle or challenge, or achieves a goal or special accomplishment at the event.
- Demonstrates effective communication skills, teamwork, professionalism, and a student-centered ethos at the team interview.
Our team also ranked 38th out of the 414 registered teams. They competed against teams from all over the world at the event, including China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea (Republic of Korea), Kazakhstan, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Phillippines, New Zealand, Australia, India, Ghana, UK, Ireland, Czech Republic, Greece, Belgium, Poland, Germany, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Turkiye (Turkey), Bolivia, Brazil, Peru, Venezuela, Columbia, Ecuador, Panama, Guatemala, Barbados, Dominican Republic, Cayman Islands, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Mexico, Canada, and the United States.
