 Common Name: Coast Live Oak

Botanical Name: Quercus agrifolia

Location:  At the east driveway near the Utility building and at the east driveway near the B building.

Plant Type: Deciduous Tree

Sunset Zones: Zones 7-9, 14-24

Sun Requirements: Full sun

Water Requirements: Moist to dry soil.

Origin: United States
 
 Description: The type of soil it need is clay,loam, or sand with a ph of 4.0 or 8.0, it has smooth dark green bark, grow to about 20-70 feet, and it grows about 24 inches per season, and last but not least it can live about 150 years.

Leaves: dark green holly-like leaves

Flowers: Inconspicuous, has separate male and female flower and it flowers in spring.

Fruit: Acorn
