My name is Carrie Lawson Robertson and I've taught agriculture at Paul Revere since 2011. I'm proud to be a National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT)  in Career & Technical Education, with a specialization in Natural Resources/Agriculture. I earned a Master's Degree in Secondary Science Education, completing research on "Student & Teacher Perceptions of Outdoor Learning at an Urban Middle School Site" from CSUN, and my teaching credentials in Agriculture from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

I love learning about agriculture! My father's cattle operation provided me with an early training ground in production agriculture. (Yep, I was a cowgirl.) I was lucky to participate in outstanding agriculture programs at Hale Junior High and Canoga Park High School, where I was active in FFA, and my teachers Mr. Herrera and Mr. Pietrolungo still inspire what I do today. I also raised pigs and steers in the FFA, and in college I farmed citrus and avocado trees, grew broiler chickens, and played polo, at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where I majored in Agriculture.

two dogsI'm proud to bring the story of agriculture to my students each day!  Today, my family keeps me busy with volleyball, martial arts, and travel, but in my spare time, I love "anything with dirt", including hiking and gardening with native plants.

And... hanging out with my Australian Shepherds, "Bear" and "Melvin"!
