2026-2027 Lunch Clubs
ACA DECA/Academic Pentathlon Team-Club - This is an academic club that will be forming teams that will compete against other middle schools that are located within the Los Angeles Unified School District. Mondays, E4, Hamanishi.

Algebra/Geometry Club - Students will work on algebra or geometry problems collaboratively. Mondays and Wednesdays, C2, Manes.
A Quiet Place Club - Students will be able to eat lunch outside on the grassy area or steps by S-2. Then they will be able to come into room S-2 to quietly read a book, do HW, make up work, play board games or chess. Ipad use will not be allowed 2nd semester. Fridays, S2, Asahina.
Black Student Union (BSU) - A welcoming community that celebrates culture, history, and achievements while creating a space for students to connect and feel supported. Everyone is welcome! Wednesdays, B1, Gutierrez, Rivas.
Christian Club - Christian Club is a weekly gathering with the purpose of building community centered on the teachings of Christianity. ALL students are welcome in a safe environment where they can explore, experience, discover and/or grow in their faith. Activities include: socializing/eating, reading/discussing scripture verses from the Bible, worship/prayer, audio/visual/speaking presentations, and arts/crafts. Thursdays, S5, Silvers.
Community Connection Club - The Community Connection Club is a group of students building relationships on campus with the commitment of serving the wider community. Some previous community service experiences include volunteering at the Westside Food Bank, and community food distribution at University Christian Church. Fridays, S5, Silvers.
Gender Sexuality Alliance (GSA) - Be a part of a safe and supportive community! Whether you are LGBTQIA+ or not- come be an ally! Wednesdays, J1, Phillips, Kramer.
Jewish Heritage Club - Students will meet with Rabbi Zelzman discussing Jewish culture, history and heritage. Members will participate in activities in connection with Jewish holidays to learn and deepen their understanding of Jewish culture and history. Wednesdays, G6, Khoubian.
Life & Nature Lunch Club - Life & Nature Lunch Club is a welcoming space where students are offered the opportunity to build important life skills, enjoy engaging nature/animal videos, and take a break from daily stress in a calm and supportive environment. This club is designed to help students decompress, recharge, and develop skills that support both personal growth and well being. Tuesdays, C6, Rooke.
Mental Health Club - Come learn about mental health, create events/posters for our monthly campaigns and help fight the stigma associated with mental health! Everyone has mental health! Thursdays, X13, Phillips.
Reading Decathlon - Enjoy reading? Check out our award-winning Reading Decathlon team! We read around 15 books a year and compete against other LAUSD middle schools. Fridays, Library, Gualano Uno Club - Come with your friends or meet new ones and play some Uno! Friday, X13, Phillips.
