2026-27 LAUSD Transportation Request Now Open

The request link for LAUSD transportation for the 2026–2027 school year is now open!

All information regarding district transportation can be found at lausd.org/schoolbus or in the parent portal.

Please note that all students who wish to use district transportation must submit a request, including those who are currently riding LAUSD buses in the Charter, Magnet, and PWT programs.

Priority for transportation is given to Magnet and PWT students. Charter students will be assigned to a route only if space is available. All students will be notified of their transportation status over summer.

LAUSD SCHOOL BUS TRANSPORTATION

(Magnet/PWT/Space Available Students Only)

The LAUSD does not guarantee transportation to Charter students. The only programs that offer District bus transportation are qualified Magnet students and Permits with Transportation (PWT) students. These programs require an application through the LAUSD.

Charter students may apply for transportation at https://www.lausd.org/schoolbus. Limited space is available.

LAUSD Magnet/PWT late buses run Mondays & Wednesdays, departing at 4:45 p.m. Contact [email protected] with questions.

Please note that no late buses are provided on Professional Development (PD) Days.

PWT is a Court-Ordered voluntary integration program available to residents of the Los Angeles Unified School District who live within a PWT sending school area. Parents may call (213) 241-6572 to verify if the applicant lives in a PWT sending school area. Applications for PWT are due in October for the following year. Click below for more information.
