Hi everyone! I’m Ms. Marroquin, your counselor!
I absolutely LOVE being a counselor, and I’m so excited to work with all of you this year! My goal is to make this school year fun, successful, and full of new experiences. Whether you need help with school, friendships, planning for the future, or just need someone to talk to, I’m here for you!
A Little About Me. I was born and raised in East Hollywood, so I’m an LA girl at heart!
I’m a first-generation college graduate, which means I was the first person in my family to graduate from college. I’m also the oldest of three sisters, so I’ve been practicing my leadership skills for a LONG time! I was raised by my amazing single mom, who taught me the importance of working hard, staying strong, and never giving up, even when things get challenging. My family has always been a big part of who I am, and they taught me that with hard work, determination, and a little bit of courage, you can accomplish big things! I speak English and Spanish, and I know a little Portugues emphasis on a LITTLE! I LOVE traveling and exploring different parts of the world. I enjoy learning about new languages, cultures, food history, and geography.
In fact, History and Geography are two of my favorite subjects. I guess I just really like knowing where things are and what happened there.

You don’t have to have everything figured out. Middle school is a time to learn, make mistakes, try new things, and discover who you are. So, if you see me around campus, say hi! I’m excited to get to know each of you and make this a great year together!
